Indonesia Visa Information

 

I. Visa is required, except for:
1. Nationals of Indonesia holding a valid passport of the Republic of Indonesia
(avoid serious difficulties for passengers and carriers concerned! Refuse 
transportation to nationals if Indonesia holding a passport which is either expired
or declared invalid!) ;
2. Those under a. b. and c. below for a tourist stay of 60 days, starting from date of
arrival : 
a. Holders of British passports (irrespective of endorsement in passport regarding
their status) ;
b. Nationals of Argentina, Australia (however, visa required if being a journalist), 
Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France
Greece, Germany, Iceland, Ireland (Rep.), Italy, Japan, Korea South, Kuwait,
Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway,
Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand,
Turkey, United Arab Emirates, U.S.A., Venezuela, Yugoslavia;
c. Nationals of any country coming to Indonesia for conference purposes provided
holding on arrival a documentary proof of approval from the Indonesian Government
which can also be valid for tourist purposes.
3. Holders of Taiwan (Rep. of China) passports endorsed with code "MFA" or "M",
provided :
-Arriving and departing only via the airports of Denpasar Bali (Nigurah Rai), 
Jakarta (Soekarno- Hatta Int.), Medan (Polonia), Surabaya (Juanda) or via the
seaport of Sekupang (Batu Besar);
-Coming for touristic / Business/ social purposes only;
-Holding onward or return tickets and sufficient funds to cover their stay;
Warning: If passport is endorsed with code "OM" or "X" (in which case a visa is
required), arriving and departing is only allowed via the airports of Denpasar Bali
(Ngurah Rai), Jakarta (Soekarno-Hatta) or Medan (Polonia) ;
4. Nationals of Morocco for a stay of max. 2 months provided :
- Travelling with a minimum of 5 persons;
- Embarking/disembarking only via the airports of Bali (Ngurah Rai), Jakarta (Halim/
  Soekarno-Hatta), Medan (Polonia), or via the seaports of Bali (Benoa/Padang Bai)
  Jakarta (Tanjung Periok), Medan (Belawan).
5. Holders of a re-entry permit ;
6. Stay less than 90 days :
Hong Kong BNO & Hong Kong SAR passport holders. 
II. Travel without Visa :
Transit passengers continuing their journey to a third country within 8 hours by the
same or another aircraft without leaving the airport, provided holding tickets with
reserved seats and other documents for their onward journey.
III. Health :
Required - except for transit passengers not leaving the airport - vaccination
against :
Yellow fever, if arriving within 6 days after leaving or transiting infected areas or
countries situated in endemic areas.
